In her own words
I was born in Baltimore, and found my way to Chicago for graduate school. I’m a painter, first and foremost, though I’ve recently rediscovered a love for drawing. I’m also fortunate enough to have discovered an affinity for production design. Production work has been a nice balance for my painting, and allows me to assert my more regimented side, leaving me to make a (slight) mess in my painting studio.
Words of advice
Be kind to everybody. Trust your gut. (I can’t speak for other guts, but my gut has always served me well.) Be honest. (Sometimes I’m even more honest than I need to be, but I’d rather have it all out there.) Don’t do anything half-assed. Don’t be afraid. Or, don’t let your fear hold you back. Do what’s right for YOU, even if it’s not right for everybody else.
