We are all capable of great things, even though our great things will all be different.
In her own words
Hi. I grew up in a small Jersey shore town, and appreciate the cultural variety found in cities, as well as being close to nature. After studying illustration at Syracuse, I worked in London for a bit before moving to Chicago. I love that it’s both a world-class yet livable city, being surrounded by tall buildings one minute, then sitting on a beach the next. After years of working with the great crew at Froeter Design, I’ve recently expanded into freelancing. It’s both exciting and sometimes scary, but at the end of the day, there’s nothing else I’d rather do!
Words of wisdom
We are all capable of great things, even though our great things will all be different.
- There’s so much awesome design out there, it can be easy to feel overwhelmed. Think of it all as a source for collaboration and inspiration to do work you love, not competition to look like everyone else.
Be available to your clients. Be available to yourself.
- Try to find a balance between keeping professional business hours while still nurturing creativity.
Look for inspiration everywhere. Carry a little sketchbook.
- Travel around as much as you can. Observe people and places and sites and smells. Either down the block, or halfway around the world, nothing can replace the experience of “being there”.
Be nice to people. Be nice to work with. Have fun and say thank you.
