In her own words
I am a designer/illustrator born and raised in Rochester, NY, now living in Jacksonville, Florida. I have a passion for using watercolor and combining it with typography in my design. I have a strong affinity for toys from the ’80s. I love the smell of newly opened pool toys. If I were a candy I would be Nerds. I love the Jacksonville Jaguars. I am extremely good at laser tag.
I started an illustration blog at the beginning of this year called Absurd Overheard, in which I illustrate random and funny things I overhear online or in person.
Words of wisdom
If you’re bored, you’re doing it wrong. Don’t just go through the motions in your life or your career—if things start to get predictable, you’ve gotta switch it up.
Never stop learning.
Friendships and relationships are the driving force of everything we do—so don’t be a jerk.
Don’t burn bridges.
Don’t take life too seriously—I honestly believe the more we laugh, the longer we live.
Work harder than everyone else, but have a balance between work and play. (Oh, how I struggle with this!)
Be real.
Do the work you love, and the work will come to you.
