In her own words
I am focused, creative, independent, realistic and interested. I am a designer, a blogger and a traveler. I am passionate about patterns, the sea, nature, fresh air, animals, good books, movies and music. Previously illustrating for Hallmark and Kathy Davis Studios, I currently spend my days as a full-time senior designer for Colorbök and freelance in the areas of illustration, graphic design, branding and social media. My designs can be found in retailers nationwide including Jo-Ann Fabrics, Target, Walmart, Michaels, FedEx Kinko’s, Cost Plus World Market and other independent stockists.
Words of advice
I think the most important attribute to have as a female creative is self confidence. Listen to your colleagues that you are surrounded by – the experiences of others can be a strong variable when making choices in your design career. I have experienced the scope of a very small design studio and a very large corporation and have currently settled somewhere in between.
