In her own words
I’m Ashley! I’m a graphic designer/illustrator living in Chicago. I am particularly fond of packaging design, illustration, infographics and publication. I currently work at a big fancy architecture firm, but my heart lies in D.I.Y design, zines, and all things weird and creepy.
You can say I’m a pretty huge nerd about everything from science to music to baking or film. And ginger ale.
Words of advice
Never stop trying. No one will ever pay attention if you’re just sitting on your ass.
Surround yourself with people that are worth it, whether it’s friends or a job. You can’t be miserable and creative simultaneously.
Be available, and not just for money. Some of the best and most rewarding work can go towards really great causes.
Be appreciative, respectful, friendly and welcoming! No one likes a snob.
Never take anything too seriously.
