Do one thing a day that scares you.
In her own words
I create illustrations and communicative designs that are appreciated for pleasantness in aesthetic presentation and problem solving qualities.
Not just a plain image creator, I am all about finding a harmony between image and design elements, such as color, shape, text, and hierarchy. The result is a set of decorative, figurative, and visually pleasing communication devices that gives fresh solutions to the challenge and refuses to adhere to one style (yet still consistent).
Words of advice
I am new in this business too, but if I may, I would say two things. Be out there making connections. Creative career is definitely more independent than other jobs, but it also does not roll if you are locked up in your own artsy box. All things happen based on connections you make and attitude that you present along with how good you are at what you do. Another is do one thing a day that scares you- whatever it may be.

One of the method that I work with is a digital painting that resembles traditional printmaking techniques. Alter Ego, 2011

I make sure to present either a story or the visual solution to the problem. A spread from Tom & Suji at the Zoo, 2011

Although my works are digital and imaginative, I also work traditionally and from the life-observation sketches. Intense People, 2011

I wanted to draw something local and of where I live for the illustration challenge from the Square Carousel Collective. Grizzly Bear, 2011
